well, here we are!

So, it's been like... over a week since I've posted.... way to go me!

Things are going good!!! This is going to be a quick update, sad but true... I'm pooped! End of the school year is stressful and I am just so ready for a break!

Exciting updates!!!
1. we are now on week 4, which is a new routine, for a week.... which includes an extra break day--- praise the LORD! I really needed one today, so we swapped tomorrow's break for today so I could enjoy a night out with my wonderful and incredibly handsome boyfriend of mine!!! (we haven't been having too many "dates" here lately due to really trying to stick to our diet-- so it was a nice mix up! :) We went to BJ's and shared grilled pork chops, green beans, mashed potatoes, apples and a house salad!! We splurged and has this spring roll appetizer type dealie--- however, I was not to much of a fan so I didn't really indulge too much into it. I can definately see a difference in my appetite lately as well... I get full so much more quickly so I find myself feeling so full I feel gross a lot less often! All that to say--- great night with my man! We managed to eat fairly healthy and had great chats! :) Love him!
2. I have lost ALMOST 8 pounds-- I am a few ounces shy. That could be a big issue with me just always going with the pound/rounding rather than paying attention to the actual weight. Unlike John who counts ounces lost as well. hehe.... he would. Anyway, I am feeling really great! I am proud of myself and really enjoy this whole experience...most days!

We watched the biggest loser as always yesterday, I almost wish it was on every night! It is such an encouragement to me. (however, it motivated me last night to set my alarm and attempt a 2-a-day....but did not motivate me when my alarm went off or after a long, frustrating day at school!)

Anyway, I am realizing lately... what a great place I am in my life. I am so happy and really love everything about my life. I am blessed beyond measure. :) I know I said it would be a short post--- i guess i wrote more than i had planned too! Anyway, I will def try to get better at updating, life has just been crazy!!! So many exciting things happening here soon so well see!

mean girls...


those 2 words perfectly describe my day! It amazes me how the life of kindergarten girls can be quite similar to the life of the chicks from the movie Mean Girls. Yes, those mean girls right below in the picture... shrink them down to little people size, and I have those 4 girls in my class.... such a joy!
I will not bore you with the details of my day but it involved 6 year old girls threatening to beat up other girls on the play ground because they don't want to be their friends... perfect, I say, just perfect! That was only the beginning... the day just continued to go downhill from there. Praise the Lord that the day ended and I did not just break down and cry!!!

However, my day began great! I woke up waaaayyyy earlier than I prefer and got my workout in early! I really enjoyed getting it done and just feeling energized and ready to go! I got on the scale after i worked out as well as my wii fit and I have lost another pound! woohoo!!! I feel so good lately and am really proud of myself for making it this long. Yes, it's just the beginning still... but I'm still proud!:) So it was my 1st early morning workout ever! YAY ME!

As you can see I have done a splendid job of listing every little thing i eat through out the day. I just couldn't bring my self to continue boring you with that information!!;) Though, to ease your mind I thought i would let you know that... nutrition is going really well too!!! I have officially began my fruit addiction for the summer! I looooove all the summer fruits, especially some cantaloupe! I guess it isnt a bad thing to crave non stop either.

Another exciting note... I got the bottoms of my swim suit in the mail today! Yes, you heard me right... bottoms. The top is on backorder so i have to wait just a little longer, but let me tell ya... I am quite alright with that, it gives me a few more weeks to tone this belly of mine and mayhaps enjoy wearing the swim suit!!! Let's be real, we are still a ways away from my ideal summer body but were getting there so what better than to buy a hott new little swim suit for motivation!! I am counting down the days till summer... my oh my, its getting closer, I can feel it! :)

catching up!

my oh my! It's been a while... :/ oopsies! Never fear--- i may have fallen off the blog wagon but I have not stopped working out!! We successfully began week 3 today and though I was feeling sick and had NO desire to work out.... we did it and I am glad we did! I feel good and can do more and more of each workout each time- definitely exciting to not feel like death AS much after a work out! Although, let me tell ya-- my legs are still sore from Saturday's workout!! :p This week is our last week in this routine we've been doing. The next week is pretty much just cardio, and I am kind of excited....kinda bummed! I love the cardio workouts on P90 but I also really enjoy lifting weights. So we will see how things go!!!

Last week was a rough week for me with work and working out. I am pretty sure all I did all weekend was sleep! (And watch keeping up with the kardashians, LOVE IT) Nothing out of the ordinary with work but just exhausting! That is how the end of they year being a teacher goes. sigh....

37 days till summer!!!! :D

Day 9

Well shoot! I just watched The Biggest Looser (a recent addiction that I look forward to every week) and this episode just brought me to tears! I find each of those people on the show so inspiring but homegirl that left this week, Courtney, just blows me away. Has lost over 200 pounds, and half of it was on her own. They all just look so great though, I can't wait to see the finale! I am sad to say that I just found out Jillian is leaving the show!!!! This is her last season, what a bummer. She rocks, but I am excited to see what the woman does next. Ahhh, love it!

Anyway, day 9 has come and gone! I must say- i felt like i looked GREAT today. I felt great too! It's neat to see how my body is changing and adapting to these workouts-- I feel more flexible and stronger too. :) Well that being said- I am exhausted so tonight is gonna be a short one.

Day 5, 6, 7 and 8!

Well, apparently I am not a weekend blogger. oopsies! I had a hectic weekend this weekend which was wonderful! I somehow managed to still get my workout in and stay on diet (pretty well). My girlfriends and I went to the Ft Worth Stockyards to celebrate Jessica's big birthday! I must say it was a blast!! We went to the cowtown winery, roamed around in random Texan crap stores.... please notice CRAP is bold and italicized! I am not one for collecting Texas memorabilia but, holy moly they have some funny stuff in those stores! I just really enjoyed spending the day with such great gals, a true reminder of how blessed I am to have such supportive, caring and awesomely fun friends! Here's my fav picture from the day:I unfortunately had to leave after our stockyard venture to head to another dear friend's engagement party. By this point I was exhausted and ready for bed, so we didn't stay out too late, but it was nice to get all dressed up and enjoy some snackums and a few beverages (low-cal of course!) I am totally bummed that I didn't manage to capture a picture of my extremely handsome date! John was all dressed up in slacks and a nice blue collard shirt with a black tie! mmmmhmmmmm :) I love when he gets all snazzy because it does not happen much!!!

I spent most of Sunday on the couch, recovering from the long weekend but I did manage to get a work out in! (GO ME!) I did the KenpoX and liked it enough. It was def a good workout, got the heart pumpin and my body a sweatin!!!!

Today was the start of week 2 in the workouts and I think it was great!! I can already see a big difference in my body from just one week. With a new week comes a new diet.... John has planned my whole weeks worth of food going along with what the p90 plan is. Today wasn't bad at all, considering I am having to cut my carbs!!!!!!! We cycled back to core synergistics-- I am beginning to think, even if they make me the most sore, that this workout is my fav of them all. We'll see how I am feeling tomorrow though!

what i dreamt about all day...


i can't blog about yesterdays food when all i think about it BEER and HOT DOGS!!!! ahhhh


but, long story short: I have stuck with my diet, tossed spring chocolates of temptation in my hands BUT did not cave in, and worked out on a Friday! woooohooooooo!!!!!!!
